Om evenemanget
As Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine enters its third year, the conflict continues to violate human rights, destabilize European security, and challenge the international legal order. Welcome to a panel discussion hosted by HRW Next Generation and the Swedish Defence University Student Union. We gather together with leading experts to reflect on the implications of the war from four different perspectives: political, military, gender, and international humanitarian law (IHL).
The panel discussion will explore the strategic and military dimensions of the conflict, including its consequences for Sweden, Europe, and global security. Additionally, it will address the impact on civilians, focusing specifically on the protection of women and children, as well as the evolving role of artificial intelligence in warfare and its implications for IHL.
Join us for a critical and in-depth conversation moderated by Magnus Christiansson, Researcher and Senior Lecturer at the Swedish Defence University.
